Graham's First Visit with Santa

Graham had a weekend of firsts! Some good, some not so good. Friday Graham got sent home from daycare with 103 degree temperature.:( His Dr. said that there was a virus going around. By Saturday, he was feeling a little better. Less lathargic, more smiles. By Sunday, he was tired, but no fever! The virus didn't seem to damper Graham's first visit with Santa! As long as he didn't see that it was Santa holding him, he did great! The second he saw that it was Santa holding him, fear and anxiety set in. We were able to get some good pictures. Graham had a fun weekend virus or not playing with his cousins Joei and Tayden. He loves to give moochies, (open mouth, wet kisses), and he is becoming a professional waver. He can wave hand open, hand closed, or the whole arm waive. We are so proud of him.

All together for the Holidays!

Promotion in the family

Yesterday Tedd was offered the Coordinator position for the department he has been working with for the last 3 years! He spent a decent portion of the morning negotiating for a salary that the hospital and he could agree on. Just before lunch, they presented Tedd an offer that they both could agree on. So... That means Tedd is the new Coordinator of the Cardiac Rehabilitation at North Kansas City Hospital! Yeah!!!!!!!!

Thanksgiving Weekend

Graham survived his first Thanksgiving without a major tummy ache. We went to Memaw and Papaw's house, where Memaw put on quite the spread. I think my tummy still hurts from all the good cooking. It was nice to have everyone there. I know it made Memaw very happy. Joei, Tayden and Graham all thought that my lap was the best seat in the house. (I certainly didn't mind one bit!). Graham ate mashed potatoes, just like Daddy, minus the gravy, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes and corn. For dessert, he ate some pumpkin pie and then Auntie shared her 4-layer dessert with him. Graham in return shared it with his teacher, Miss Maryanne, on Friday! Saturday called for snow and we got it! Graham wasn't sure what to think of it. It was pretty cold, so we didn't stay out too long. I think he'll love the snow when he starts walking.

Busy Weekend

Today was a busy day. We went to church and the Bishop was there because Father Jerry was officially named head of our church, St. Agnes. Graham was blessed by Father Anthony at communion and thought that was pretty neat. We came home and raked leaves. Graham helped as long as he could, but wore out before we got the back yard done. (Good thing Tedd didn't wear out!) Graham has grown leaps and bounds this weekend! He is officially playing peek-a-boo by himself. He will hold his blanky up to his face and then pull down as to say "Peek-a-Boo!" He also drank about 3 ounces of apple juice (mixed with water) from a sippy cup! Wow! The last week he has become very, very, vocal. His hard consonant sounds are good. He say "kiki" a lot which, I think means blanky or binkie!

Here are our Halloween pictures. Graham did awesome! He wore his hat for the Halloween parade at school (1.5 hours) and then again for all of our trick-or-treaters and never messed with it one time. We went to a couple of neighbors houses. He seemed okay with that, no thrilled. All the neighbors were really excited to see us, so they were pretty keyed up which scared Graham a little bit. He was offered candy, but respectfully declined. Well, except for the gummie finger that we left in the wrapper for him to chew on! He loved it. The weather was incredibly nice, so we sat out on the porch and handed out candy. We estimated about 125 to 135 trick-or-treaters. Graham made through all but the last 20 or so. He loved watching the kids come up to the door in their costumes.

November 5, 2008

Graham is an extremely happy baby! Everyone should be as lucky as we are. He has a healthy appetite. (As if you couldn't already tell) He is a great sleeper and sleeps 10 to 12 hours every night. He giggles when he thinks you are going to tickle him and loves to play peek-a-boo
! His favorite songs are Itsy Bitsy Spider (with all the actions of course) and Take me out to the Ball Game. His one true dislike is tummy time. When we put him on his belly he flips over in a matter of seconds. We'll keep working on it though. He just started eating dinner with us. He has his main course (usually cereal and a veggie) and then while we eat our dinner, he eats his biter biscuit cookie! Yum! Yum!
